Dane Channon is a counselling psychologist in East London, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Dane has been practicing as a psychologist in South Africa for nine years.
Dane’s special interest lies in paediatric (developmental) psychology and he has completed a three year, applied doctorate program (coursework), in child and adolescent psychology through the University of the Free State. He is currently completing research in the area of adolescent resilience in South African schools.
Dane’s expertise lie in diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders. Dane is one of only a handful of specialists on the continent to hold registrations in the Griffiths III, ADOS-2 and DISCO developmental-based assessments. He is readily consulted for his clinical opinions on autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactive disorder and learning disabilities.
Kail Els is an HPCSA registered intern psychologist working with, and under the supervision of, Dane Channon. Kail practices within an acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) model and offers psychometric assessment (educational assessments and career assessments) to prospective clients.
